The Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District will be closed several days in November in which the Rothschild Early Childhood Center (RECC) will be open, requiring caregivers of prekindergarten students enrolled at the center to provide transportation for their students.
On the following dates, classes will not be in session at J-D schools, and therefore, there will be no district transportation operating:
- Nov. 8: Superintendent’s Conference Day
- Nov. 11: Veterans Day
- Nov. 23: Thanksgiving Recess Begins
On Nov. 10 and 14, the district is operating on a half-day schedule for students in prekindergarten through grade 8 while the RECC will be open for a full-day of instruction.
The district will provide transportation to school on Nov. 10 and 14, and caregivers of students enrolled in the RECC prekindergarten program will be responsible for providing transportation home at the end of the RECC’s regular instructional day.
