J-D ceramic students shine in regional Scholastic competition

We’re excited to share that Jamesville-DeWitt High School received more Ceramics & Glass awards than any other school in the Central New York Region for the 2024 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Our students earned the most Gold Key Awards (4), the most Silver Key Awards (5), and the most Honorable Mentions (7).

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. Gold Key-awarded regional entries are automatically considered for national awards, including Gold Medal, Silver Medal, and scholarship awards. National awards will be announced this Spring.

You can view regional work at the Whitney Applied Technology Center at Onondaga Community College. The 2024 Awards Exhibit will be on display through Friday, March 1.
