J-D Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2024 announced

The Jamesville-DeWitt Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2024 has been announced. 5 individuals and 2 teams will be inducted on Saturday, May 11 at 1 p.m. in the Hall of Fame lobby at J-D High School. 

Congratulations to the following:

Mary Cooper-Hartzog

    • 1990 Section 3 League MVP, All Section 3 MVP Softball 
    • .917 win/loss record in Softball, with multiple no hitters
    • 189 Strikeouts in a season 1990.
    • Three Sport Athlete in Softball, Gymnastics and Basketball
    • LeMoyne College Softball Player and Pitcher

Michelle Blum

    • 3 Sport Athlete at J-D (Soccer, Basketball & Lacrosse)
    • OHSL League Honors a record 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 in Lacrosse and Basketball
    • D1 Scholarship Athlete in Lacrosse at University of Albany, 3-time starter.
    • National Honor Society 2002 

Bernard Blunt

    • All Time Leading Scorer in J-D school history in Basketball with 2507 points
    • 1990 NYS Champion and MVP 
    • St. Joe’s University NCAA Basketball starter 4 years
    • St. Joe’s University all time leading scorer with 1985 points

Jordan Evans

    • All Time Leading Scorer in Lacrosse J-D school history with 401 points
    • 2-time All-American & (4) Straight State Finals Games
    • Syracuse University #22 and #1 Recruit in the Nation
    • Member of 2010 & 201 NYS Championship Team

Coach Joe Roach

    • Coached 5 decades from 1974-2016
    • 433 career wins 
    • 2 Regional Championships, 3 Sectional Titles, 9 OHSL League Championships
    • NYSPHSAA 2011 & Section 3 Coach of the Year Award
