Capital Project work on time and on budget

The district is making progress with its $34.5 million capital project which was approved by voters in December 2024. The project work has been separated into two phases.

Phase one is underway, which includes site work at J-D High School and all three elementary schools. New UPK playground equipment will be installed at each school and Tecumseh Elementary will be getting a new and improved front parking lot.

Over the summer, crews were busy replacing exterior doors of the J-D High School main gym as well as replacing the gym’s roof membrane. This work was completed with capital funds set aside in the 2025-26 budget.

Design work is underway for phase two, which will focus on interior work at J-D High School, J-D Middle School, and Jamesville Elementary School as well as some site work at Moses DeWitt Elementary School. You can view full project scope and financial details by visiting the capital project webpage.
