JDHS Operation Graduation 2021

What is Operation Graduation?

It’s an After Ball celebration for the graduating seniors of Jamesville Dewitt High School, as well as their dates. This chemical-free party is a well-chaperoned and secure event.
Why do we need to support Operation Graduation?
Due to the alarming number of alcohol/drug related incidents that occur nationwide on the night of high school Proms, this event was designed to provide a safe and secure environment for our Senior Class. The Senior parents of JDHS have supported this event for over 20 years!
When and where will Operation Graduation take place?
Operation Graduation will take place on May 22, 2021 beginning at 11:30PM at Strike & Spare Lanes in Mattydale.  Students are bused to and from the event.
What kinds of activities are being planned for Operation Graduation?
This response will be updated but, based on previous years, we expect to provide a wide range of activities including a DJ and music, temporary tattoos, photo booths, casino games and much, much more.  A variety of hot and cold food and drinks are available all night.
How much does Operation Graduation cost?
Each year, the Operation Graduation Committee must raise over $15,000 to ensure that this event remains free to all graduating seniors. The more money we raise, the more prizes and fun we can offer!
  How is the money raised?
The major fundraisers for Operation Graduation are our bottle drives and wreath sale.  Your support is needed to make our fundraisers a success!
We also seek corporate and community donations. If your place of business or your immediate or extended family would like to make a contribution to the success of this event, please fill out our contribution form and mail it to us with your check made out to JDHS Operation Graduation, or via Venmo and PayPal.
Who makes the plans for Operation Graduation?
The Operation Graduation Committee is a volunteer group that organizes and runs the fundraisers as well as the Operation Graduation event itself. This committee is made up of the parents of Senior students. New committee members are always needed, as parents retire from the committee once their children have graduated.
How can I get involved with Operation Graduation?
Operation Graduation needs the support of ALL JDHS parents, students and staff.  MANY people are needed to organize fundraisers throughout the school year, to plan the final event, and to chaperone the night of the Event. Please feel free to contact any of the Committee Chairpersons to let them know of your interest.
GOING ON THROUGH DECEMBER 20th .  Sizes Youth Small - Adult 4X.  We'd love to see kids and adults across the JD School District sporting our new design.  Shirts can be purchased here:

Bottle and can drives are a key source of funding for the event. We hope you’ll support Operation Graduation 2021 by bringing your returnable cans and bottles to one of the upcoming drives. No sorting is needed. Just put all of your bottles and cans in a bag and drop them off on collection day or after 5pm the evening before.
