March 18, 2021: Commitment survey due Tuesday, March 23
On March 18, Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District Superintendent Peter Smith sent the following letter via SchoolMessenger to J-D families and staff.
Dear Jamesville-DeWitt families,
Based on the data from the recent survey and assuming the timely delivery of the student work space barriers, Jamesville-DeWitt is planning the following:
Students in K-1 and some Special Education students: These students will continue to attend five days in-person.
Grades 2-4: Shift to four days of in-person instruction (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) on April 12. Transition to five days of in-person instruction on May 3.
Grades 5-12: Shift to four days of in-person instruction on April 12. Wednesdays will continue as fully remote.
The district will continue to offer remote only instruction for all grades. Students will continue to receive remote instruction on Wednesdays in the four-day models. We are asking families to commit to either in-person or remote instruction through May 24. Students will have the opportunity at that time to switch models for the final five weeks of the 2020-21 school year.
Please complete this form for each of your students with their preferred learning model by Tuesday, March 23.
