Jan. 11, 2021: Update on switching to hybrid or in-person instruction for third marking period

On Jan. 11, Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District Superintendent Peter Smith sent the following letter via SchoolMessenger to J-D families.

At each marking period, the district provides students the opportunity to start or return to hybrid, in-person instruction. We will continue the four different hybrid groups (A, B, C, and D) outlined in our re-opening plans.

If you are interested in switching from fully remote to in-person instruction for the third marking period, please complete this form by January 15. Make sure to complete the form once for each student that is shifting to in-person instruction. The form only needs to be completed if your student is currently in Group E - Fully Remote and is looking to change. All other students will remain in their assigned group.

Your student’s school will reach out to you in the following week with details on transportation (if necessary) and group assignment.  The group (A, B, C, or D) will be assigned by the school to ensure we can maintain social distancing in classrooms.

The next opportunity to return to in-person instruction will be the start of the fourth marking period, April 19. We will send out a similar communication and form the week of April 5-9.
