We are pleased to report that all water outlets typically used for drinking or cooking did not exceed the acceptable standard for levels of lead at J-D Middle School. Action is required if lead levels above 15 parts per billion are detected at a specific water outlet. One hundred and sixty-two (162) samples were collected at the middle school. Of those, two tested above the acceptable level: one of the sinks in the girls’ bathroom in house 2 and one of the sinks in room 101 which is a science room. Both of those outlets have been turned off. Once fixtures are replaced, the water will again be tested to assure the water meets the acceptable standard for lead levels.
