Jamesville-DeWitt High School students recently took part in Construction Career Day at the CNY Regional Market in Syracuse. It was held on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
The event connected students with professionals across the construction and building trades, giving them an inside look at a wide range of career paths. Participants explored different trades, interacted with local employers and skilled tradespeople, and took part in equipment demonstrations and hand-on activities.
Students also learned about training opportunities and career prospects such as diesel mechanics, plumbing, HVAC, welding, construction labor, truck driving, machining/CNC operation, forklift operation, and maintenance technology.
