J-D unveils refreshed logos, new junior mascot to unify the district’s brand identity

The Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District is excited to share details about its refreshed brand identity featuring updated logos and a new junior mascot!

The updates were inspired by capital improvement projects. The district worked with Vaysen Studio during the 2024-25 school year to develop an updated brand guide and cohesive graphics package. The goal was to increase brand consistency; reinforce Jamesville-DeWitt’s core values and mission; and foster a sense of belonging among students, staff, families, and the community.

The development process was deeply collaborative, strategic, and very student driven. Administrators worked closely with stakeholders like students, staff, and building leaders to identify priority areas while reflecting the district’s values, legacy, and future-focused mission.

The group tasked Vaysen Studio with elevating existing logos, standardizing district colors and fonts, creating consistent logos for each school building, and providing younger Red Rams with a more approachable mascot.

The district is excited to embrace the refreshed brand identity and will slowly make the transition during the 2025-26 school year. Updated logos and school colors will be used in capital improvement projects like the baseball field at J-D High School, signage and light pole flags at Tecumseh Elementary School, and tiling at Jamesville Elementary School.

A brand guide will be made available on the district website. It will outline proper usage of all branding elements like logos and colors. Requests to access high resolution files can be directed to the district office.
