The Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District is proud to share that nine J-D High School seniors were among 155 students recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). OCM BOCES welcomed districts and families from across the region for the Induction Ceremony at SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College on Tuesday, April 14.
During the event, students lit eight candles symbolizing the core attributes of NTHS: knowledge, skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship, and leadership. The students also received purple and white cords to wear during graduation in June.
The goal of the NTHS is to recognize deserving students who have chosen technical education pathways to a successful future. To be eligible, students must maintain a minimum grade average of 85, have strong attendance, receive a teacher recommendation and demonstrate a number of values.
