J-D Middle School students sing in new Hughie Stone Fish release

Image of Hughie Stone Fish with J-D middle school students.Have you heard ‘Down, Down, Down,’ by J-D alumnus and Emmy Award winner Hughie Stone Fish? The song was released Friday, June 16.

It features members of J-D Middle School 6-8 grade choruses led by music teachers Robin Carruthers and Justin Bird. Hughie recorded at the school last fall with his brother and fellow producer Avery Stone Fish, and his wife, Jessica Stone Fish, who is a television producer.

“It is clear the song resonated with the students, and it was extra special to hear them sing these words, and to get a chance to speak with them about the power of music, and how art can be a force for good as we go through life” shared Hughie during his visit.

You can find the new release on Pandora and other music streaming services. Part of the album proceeds will go to The Arts Project Syracuse (TAPS), a non-profit organization that brings arts programming to under-resourced  youth in Syracuse.

Awesome job to everyone involved!
