J-D High School students gear up for Charity Walkathon

Some J-D High School students will be walking for a good cause this weekend. Student teams will be taking part in an overnight Charity Walkathon in the main gym Friday night into Saturday morning. The goal is to foster community spirit, fundraise for school clubs, and support the local organization We Rise Above the Streets. The non-profit provides food, clothing, and other resources for those in need in Central New York.

During the event, students will work in teams of 5-8. One person has to be walking on the track at all times. There will also be some fun activities for students to take part in while not walking.

There will be two winning teams: one with the most laps and one with the most money raised. They will be awarded trophies made by a J-D student!

Organizers have set up a donation page for participating teams. All donations will go to We Rise Above the Streets.
