Dear J-D Families,
The 2025-26 school year is quickly approaching. I wanted to remind you that all Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District students receive free school meals regardless of family income. This is due to the new Universal Free School Meals state law. Our district still qualifies for the United States Department of Agriculture’s Community Eligibility Provision Program (CEP) which will help provide these meals.
Free meals include 3 items or more, one of which must be a fruit or vegetable or both. If a student wants an additional meal or individual items we will need to charge them for it.
2025-26 Prices (for additional meals)
Breakfast
- All schools: $2.45
Lunch
- Elementary (all): $3.40
- J-D Middle School: $3.55
- J-D High School: $3.70
Parents/Guardians can add money to student meal accounts for additional meals, snacks, or drinks through myschoolbucks.com. To sign up for MySchoolBucks, you will need your child’s nine digit student ID number which can be found in SchoolTool. You can also use checks made out to J-D Food Services or cash.
Families are still encouraged to fill out and submit the 2025-26 free and reduced meal application. The applications help the district secure funding, grants, classroom resources and more. It can also help with eligibility for things like P-EBT funding, reduced or waived fees for SATs, and reduced or waived fees for college applications.
Monthly menus and specials for all schools and additional Food Services information are available on the district website.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding food service at Jamesville-DeWitt, please contact me at rvested@jd.cnyric.org or 315-445-5286. We’re looking forward to serving students in the upcoming school year.
Sincerely,
Rita Vested, Jamesville-DeWitt School Lunch Manager
