Mrs. DeForest called the Annual Meeting and Budget Hearing to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Large Group Room of the High School and via Zoom.
Mrs. DeForest welcomed members of the community and introduced Mr. William Furlong, who read the Annual Meeting Notice in place of Mrs. Ronna Louise, chairperson who was not able to attend.
Dr. Smith and Mr. Furlong presented the $69,434,445.00 budget with propositions.
Mr. Furlong read the names of the three candidates running for election (three 3 year terms) to the Board of Education: David Babikian, John Baxter and George “Joe” Gross. Each candidate spoke about his reasons for running for the Board of Education.
Ms. Melinda Dermody and Mr. Charles Diede from the Community Library of DeWitt and Jamesville presented the Library proposition.
At 7:59 p.m. Mr. Gross moved and Mr. Leach seconded the motion to adjourn the budget hearing.
Motion carried. (8-0-0).
