Dr. Archer called the Annual Meeting and Budget Hearing to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Large Group Room of the High School and via YouTube Livestream.
Dr. Archer welcomed members of the community and introduced Mr. Bartlett, who read the Annual Meeting Notice.
Dr. Woodcock and Mr. Bartlett presented the $74,962,459 budget with propositions.
Dr. Woodcock opened the floor for questions. Tom Greenwood, an alumni of Jamesville-DeWitt shared a comment regarding Jamesville-DeWitt Alumni and the possibility of beginning a fund to help the district. Dr. Woodcock indicated that the idea of an education foundation is in the works. Mr. Greenwood said he would put his name forward to work on this and Dr. Woodcock said that Mr. Franz will be reaching out to him to discuss this further.
Dr. Archer read the names of the three candidates running for election (three 3-year terms) to the Board of Education: Andrew Nolan, Dominic D’Imperio and David Babikian. Each candidate introduced themselves and spoke about their reasons for running for the Board of Education.
Ms. Maria Collins, Executive Director, and Ms. Katie Centolella, President of the Board of Trustees of the Community Library of DeWitt and Jamesville presented the library proposition.
There were no questions or comments.
At 7:41 p.m., Mr. Baxter moved, and Mrs. Cortese seconded the motion to adjourn the Annual Meeting and Budget Hearing.
