Dr. Woodcock stated she would be Acting District Clerk for both the Public Hearing and Reorganization Meeting in Tish’s absence. She called the Public Hearing to order at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the District Office and via YouTube Livestream.
Proposed District Safety Plan, Dr. Woodcock
Dr. Woodcock presented the proposed 2026-2027 School District Safety Plan. She said this is a required annual public hearing for the district which requires a thirty-day public comment period.
Dr. Woodcock shared the organization of the plan, proposed minimal changes and a timeline including next steps. Dr. Woodcock said the thirty-day public comment period will begin tomorrow on July 14 and the Board of Education will vote to adopt the plan at their meeting on August 24, 2026. The plan can be found on the district website and comments should be sent to Dr. Darcy Woodcock, Superintendent at dwoodcock@jd.cnyric.org.
