Mrs. DeForest called the Public Hearing to order at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria at Jamesville Elementary School and via Zoom.

Presentation of the Proposed Changes to the District Safety Plan, Dr. Smith
Dr. Smith presented the proposed changes to the District Safety Plan. The district will accept comments on the plan through February 22, 2023. The Board will vote to adopt the plan at the next meeting, February 27, 2023. The proposal includes:

- Conducting a comprehensive safety audit
- Conducting a cellphone reception audit
- Hiring an additional School Resource Officer
- Hiring a guard at each elementary school
- Hiring a security consultant to evaluate preparedness
- Upgrade access controls by expanding installation of interior door FOBs at all buildings
- Intall panic buttons in each building
- Develop threat assessment protocols to be used at leach level
- Expand surveillance camera coverage
- Upgrade access controls by expanding the installation of exterior door FOBs at all buildings
- Upgrade the Emergency Response Notification System in all buildings

At 7:16 p.m. Mr. Leach moved and Mrs. James Murad seconded the motion to adjourn the Public Hearing and begin the Regular Meeting.
