The Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District Board of Education adopted the district’s updated 2025-26 District Safety Plan during its regular meeting on Monday, Jan. 12. The changes are related to automated external defibrillator (AED) equipment and school safety training as part of Cardiac Emergency Response Plans. They follow Desha’s Law which was signed by Governor Hochul on July 25, 2025. The public had 30 days to share comments with administrators. The board must submit the plan to the State Education Department, Tuesday, Jan. 20.
