2025-26 Budget Vote/Board Election is Tuesday, May 20

Residents of the Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District will vote on a proposed $75,327,667 budget with a tax levy increase of 1.96% for the 2025-26 school year next week. If approved, the spending plan will maintain all student programming and support goals outlined in the district’s new 2-year strategic plan while minimizing its financial impact on taxpayers. District residents will also elect three members to the Board of Education. Four candidates filed nominating petitions. The three candidates with the highest number of votes will fill the available seats. Each term will run from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2028. The budget vote and board election will take place on Tuesday, May 20 at the J-D High School gymnasium from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
