Tecumseh School Supplies

Kindergarten | Grade 1 | Grade 2 | Grade 3 | Grade 4

Kindergarten

  • A beach towel/blanket for quiet reading labeled with your child’s name
  • An art smock (a large t-shirt works best) labeled with your child’s name
  • A spare change of clothes labeled with your child’s name (shirt, pants, undergarments, socks etc.)
  • 1 box of ziploc bags (any size)
  • A large container of disinfectant wipes
  • A box of tissues
  • A package of dry erase markers (Expo brand works best)
  • A package of glue sticks
  • A box of crayons
  • A package of makers
  • 1 large (8×5) plastic pencil box ( to store pencils and crayons)
  • A pair of headphones (please no ear buds)

Please label everything with your child’s name!

Grade 1

The following is a list of supplies first graders will need for their personal use. Please label all items with your child’s name.

  1. A pencil box
  2. A box of 24 crayons (please don’t send in a larger box, storage space is limited)
  3. A box of markers (8 count is sufficient)
  4. Child size scissors
  5. Pink or white pencil erasers
  6. 1 set of headphones or ear buds (please try to find the ones that have a straight connecting plug)

We would also like to ask for the following items to be sent in for the classroom’s use (the extra crayons, pencils, and dry erase markers will be stored and administered to students as needed):

  1. A box of Ticonderoga pencils
  2. A box of 24 crayons
  3. A package (4 or more count) of glue sticks
  4. 4 Expo brand dry erase markers-black only please
  5. 1 container of Clorox antibacterial wipes
  6. A box of tissues

Please do not bring backpacks with wheels to school. They are too large for our cubbies and dangerous in the hallways.

Grade 2

The following items are for your child’s personal use and should be
labeled with their name:

  • 1 block eraser and/or pencil top erasers
  • 2 large or 4 small glue sticks
  • 1 box of crayons (16-24 count is sufficient)
  • 1 box of markers (8-10 count is sufficient)
  • Colored pencils (optional)
  • Scissors (blunt tip)
  • 2 two-pocket folders (any color/design is fine)
  • 1 pair of earbuds or headphones (please try to find the ones that have a straight connecting plug, as they fit better into our devices.)
  • 1 box of 24 good quality, yellow #2 pencils (your child will keep half in their desk, half will be donated for classroom use)

We would also like to ask that the following items be sent in for classroom use: (please do not label these items)

  • 4 Expo Dry Erase Markers (black ONLY please)
  • 1 box of tissues
  • 1 canister Clorox Wipes
  • Girls: 1 box gallon size Ziploc bags
  • Boys: 1 box sandwich size Ziploc bags

Grade 3

To help you decide on purchases, we’ve developed the following list of items to bring to school:

  1. Pencil pouch or box
  2. #2 yellow (Ticonderoga) pencils (sharpened)
  3. Pencil top erasers
  4. Highlighter
  5. 2 glue sticks (large)
  6. 2 packs of markers. One thin markers and one regular markers (small packs)
  7. Colored pencils (small pack and sharpened)
  8. Crayons (24 pack or smaller)
  9. Scissors
  10. Box of tissues
  11. Clorox Wipes (1 canister)
  12. Zip Lock bags (Gallon size if your child’s last name is A-K. Sandwich size if your child’s last name is L-M)
  13. Pump bottle of hand sanitizer
  14. 1 pocket folder (any color)
  15. 1 one-subject spiral notebook
  16. 1 black and white composition notebook
  17. Earbuds-not wireless earbuds or headphones (Please remove from packaging and place in a labeled zip-lock bag)

*Please do not bring large 3-ringed notebooks, as our desks are too small. Also, please label all of your personal school supplies and remove any packaging.

Grade 4

When you begin thinking about “Back to School” shopping, these guidelines may be helpful.

Need to have:

  1. Four sturdy 2-pocket folders
  2. Box of crayons, markers, and/or colored pencils
  3. Box of #2 regular pencils (should be replenished throughout the year)
  4. Two wide-ruled composition notebooks
  5. Two spiral-bound one-subject notebooks
  6. Glue sticks (2)
  7. One white 3-ring binder (1”)
  8. Pack of wide-ruled loose leaf paper
  9. Pencil pouch (not box)
  10. One highlighter
  11. Large erasers

*If you are able, please send in 2 large tissue boxes, a large container of Clorox Wipes, and a hand sanitizer per child.

We have ordered assignment planners for the 4th grade and they will be distributed the first week of school. Students will also receive a red take-home folder for bringing information back and forth from school.
