The Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District’s registration process for universal prekindergarten (UPK) is continuing.
For students to be successfully enrolled, parents/guardians need to submit completed registration packets and all required supporting documentation to the district office by Feb. 18 at 4 p.m.
The district will be holding an in-person registration event on Thursday, Feb. 12 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Jamesville-DeWitt District Office Board Room, which is located in J-D High School (6845 Edinger Drive, DeWitt). Once on the high school campus, follow the blue signs to the District Office.
Please bring registration packets along with the following items to complete your child’s registration:
-
- Student Registration Form (included in your packet)
- Home Language Questionnaire (included in your packet)
- Your deed, mortgage statement or current lease agreement
- A current utility bill, such as National Grid, cable or internet
- The child’s birth certificate
- Picture ID of parent/guardian who is present and registering the child
- Custody paperwork, if applicable
- Complete the ASQ-3 Screening online (information is included in your packet)
Please note that the district has a limited number of seats available. In the event that more registrations are received than can be accommodated between school based classrooms and seats in our community partners at Rothschild Early Childhood Center and Little Lukes, the district will conduct a lottery in which children will be selected at random. Placement letters for enrolled students will be mailed in early March.
If you have any questions, please contact Registrar, Lisa Howe at 315-445-8300 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, or email her at lhowe@jd.cnyric.org.
