Having a comprehensive plan in place to handle a wide range of possible emergencies is a critical component of school management and student safety. That’s why the Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District and board of education routinely evaluates and updates the district safety plan. They are asking for your input during the process.
Administrators will present the proposed 2025-26 District Safety Plan to the board of education and hold a public hearing on Monday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. You can view the meeting agenda here.
You can share feedback with the district by completing this Google Form. The board anticipates voting to adopt the plan on Monday, Oct. 6, 2025.
The district maintains a public School District Safety Plan and confidential building-level School Safety Plans, in accordance with New York state’s Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (S.A.V.E.) Law. The public district-level plan is always available for review on the district website and upon request in each school building.
