2024-25 Budget Vote & School Board Elections

Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District leaders and the J-D Board of Education are actively developing the proposed 2024-25 school budget. The goal is to make the most effective use of resources to benefit students, to develop and manage the budget in a responsible and transparent manner, and to be accountable to taxpayers.


How can I learn more about the proposed 2024-25 budget?

The Jamesville-DeWitt Board of Education meeting and budget development calendar for the 2023-24 school year is outlined on the district’s Budget and Finance webpage. All meetings begin at 7 p.m. in the District Office at J-D High School (6845 Edinger Drive) unless otherwise noted and are available via Zoom. 

The public hearing on the budget is scheduled for May 13 at 7 p.m. at the District Office. You can also attend this virtually via Zoom.  

A community budget newsletter and postcard will be mailed in May.

    • Signs will direct you to the polls

Board candidate petitions are available

Anyone interested in running for the J-D Board of Education must collect 25 signatures from qualified school district voters to be placed on the ballot. Petitions are available for pickup at the J-D District Office (6845 Edinger Dr., DeWitt) and must be filed by 5 p.m. April 22 at the district office. On May 21, Jamesville-DeWitt Central School District voters will choose three district residents to serve on the board. Members each serve a three-year term and are not financially compensated. More information can be found here.
