Place Value, Comparison,
Addition and Subtraction to 100

 

Overview

Throughout the module students will:
  • use tape diagrams to solve comparative word problems
  • mentally find 10 more, 10 less, 1 more, and 1 less
  • compare numbers using <, >, =
  • count and write numbers to 120
  • add pairs of two-digit numbers
  • use drawings, numbers, and words to solve problems involving place value, properties of addition, and related facts
  • answer varied word problem types while sharing and explaining their strategies
  • determine correct operations within word problems
