Overview

Throughout this Module, students will:
• become more fluent with addition and subtraction of numbers to 10
• compose numbers using put together situations
• decompose numbers using number bonds
• describe 1 more as +1
• add 1 and count on without recounting
• describe put together situations with number bonds
• draw pictures and generate equations to represent story problems
• solve add to with change unknown problems
• utilize 5-group cards to support counting on and subtraction
• understand and utilize the equal sign within equations
• recognize doubles and doubles plus 1
• conceptualize subtraction as finding a missing part
• create sets of related addition and subtraction facts
